COVID-19 - Latest UK Government Update

You will find the most up to date UK Government Guidelines for Close Contact Services here.

The CSS Board continually reviews the advice we give to practitioners. We are of the opinion that our current guidelines for safe practice should remain in place, as they will continue to provide protection for both practitioners and clients. CSS Members will find the latest guidance in your Members Area and you can also read the Guidelines below:

The CSS does not create laws. We are here to advise you on safe and ethical practice, and many of you are qualified in different modalities and are statutorily regulated. If your core therapy is statutorily regulated (eg osteopaths, chiropractors), you are advised to follow guidelines from your specific professional associations.

We advise our Members in the UK to continue to check and follow the guidelines in place in your respective countries: England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland.

Please note that it is a requirement that each individual completes a full risk assessment - you can find further information on how to complete a risk here on the UK Government’s Health & Safety website including an example template of a risk assessment. We recommend that you check this regularly and update as needed.

Please take great care of your own health so that you are in the best place to treat clients. We would like to remind all of our Members that you are welcome to contact any Study Group Leader or CSS Board Member if you would like further advice or a listening ear in these difficult times.

With Warmest Wishes,

The CSS Board
