I began my Upledger CranioSacral training in 1997 and have been using this wonderful work ever since. My practice at the time was in Mallorca, Spain, where I built up a busy clinic and voluntary children's clinic.  Since moving back to the UK in 2002, I have continued to develop my skills and practice and now work in Holsworthy in Devon as well as Launceston and Bude in Cornwall.

I regularly run evening workshops and introductory weekends to CranioSacral Therapy for anyone interested in learning more about this extraordinary therapy. I co-run an Upledger Study Group for practitioners in Devon and Cornwall.

I am actively involved in Clinical Research in CranioSacral Therapy and am currently working on developing a single case experimental design model to be used by CST practitioners.

Hi, my name is Fiona and I have been a therapist for 20 years. I qualified as an Acupuncturist in 1999 and after 10 years decided the time was right to study CST. I had discovered it as a student and found it to be the only treatment that consistently improved my pain levels caused by an accident in a gymnastics class as a teenager.

As I progressed through the training, I came to realise the breadth and unlimited possibilities CST offers to people. To experience it is to believe it! And the profound change it can offer is a tremendous resource for so many people with a wide variety of life stories intertwining the physical and emotional.

I qualified in 2019 and treat a variety of complaints for babies, children and adults. If I'm not in clinic, I'll be walking on the South Downs, cycling along the coast or swimming in the sea!

My name is Efter and my background is in Physiotherapy. I have been practising CST since 2012 and became Techniques certified in 2018, and then Diplomate certified in 2023. I have always wanted to be some sort of therapist to help others overcome limitations. Studying Physiotherapy (2001) and gaining amaster’s degree in Manual Therapy (2005), gave me a very good understanding of pain mechanisms, functional movement and rehabilitation. The need to explore more about myself and to deepen my awareness of physical-mental- emotional connections led me to CST, which has changed my practice so much! It has also proven to me that personal and professional development goes hand in hand!

I am a mobile therapist offering home visits in South East London incorporating CST and Physiotherapy. I treat clients from all age groups and backgrounds. I enjoy working together with other CST therapists, offering multi-hands sessions whenever possible. When not at work, I am always on the look out for any waves, as I love surfing!

My journey to become a healthcare practitioner started at the age of eighteen when I sustained a serious injury as a result of a motorcycle accident. The final stages of my recovery were effectively aided by sessions of Alexander Technique. Thus began my interest in complementary health care in general and physical therapies in particular. It was not until about thirteen years later, at a time of great upheaval in my life, that I acquired the opportunity to study Classical Osteopathy. This therapy emphasises the uniqueness of each individual, and the inter-connectivity of all of the parts that contribute to the whole person, as well as the fundamental principle that change cannot be imposed but should be intelligently encouraged with the minimum intervention necessary. After four years of full-time study, at the age of thirty-seven, I graduated in 1999 with a Diploma in Osteopathy. Since then, I have worked as an independent physical therapist treating a broad range of conditions and age groups.

I began studying Upledger CranioSacral Therapy part time in 2012 and discovered that this remarkable discipline further refined the fundamental principles of my core practice, as well as adding to them the concept that each body actually has the innate ability to direct sensitively applied treatment so that it can have maximum therapeutic effect. Since then, I have used my CranioSacral knowledge and skills both within my core practice and also purely as CranioSacral Therapy, with gratifying results. I qualified as an Upledger CranioSacral Therapist in 2022.

I believe that the broad range of life events and in particular some of the trauma I have contended with, combined with approaching a quarter of a century of experience working as a therapist, enable me to offer a genuinely empathic client-centred service.

I first heard about the benefits of CST when a friend recommended a CranioSacral Therapy treatment for my newly born daughter who was suffering with neck and shoulder problems. After a few treatments, I began to notice improvement in her movement and how positively my daughter was reacting to her CST treatments. I then decided to book a treatment for myself and I began to experience the benefits of CST treatments in helping to maintain my own overall well being.

I have always had an affinity towards dogs and currently have two myself. After witnessing the benefits of CST treatments on my own dogs, I decided to become a fully qualified Canine CST therapist. I believe that dogs deserve to benefit from the same gentle non invasive CST treatments as we do, to help improve their overall well being.

My journey with horses began at the age of 5, when I sat on a pony for the very first time and instantly fell in love with riding and horses. I was extremely lucky to then go onto have lessons and eventually share a pony at 8 years old. Since then they have remained a huge part of my life and I decided that I wanted to have a career working and being around horses.

I worked in a livery yard of 38 horses, eventually working my way up to become yard manager. Whilst I working in the yard I studied and passed the exams to become a qualified BHS Riding instructor. It is here that I was able to work and teach people and horses with different abilities, in various disciplines.

Currently, I am working with horses from many disciplines, from competition horses, ex racehorses, happy hackers, unridden horses to children’s ponies and Donkeys as well as their human owners.

While I started my working life as an NHS General Practitioner I was delighted to discover, in Craniosacral Therapy (CST), a gentler way of helping people of all ages to be more comfortable in their bodies. Whether you are looking for help with an unsettled newborn, in managing chronic pain or finding greater emotional stability, CST may be of help.

For many years these two roles have informed each other and I am glad of the complementary perspectives they bring to both my work and life.

Hello, I’m Laura. As an experienced Physiotherapist I am well used to treating pain and analysing movement. Teaching Pilates has deepened the connection between my own mind and body and given me a wonderful repertoire of exercises to help my clients stay healthy and fit. I came across CranioSacral Therapy (CST) in 2014 when studying a whole-body approach for Physiotherapy assessment. I realised then, that I didn’t have sufficient skills to treat the CranioSacral System (the bones, soft tissues and fluid surrounding the brain and spinal cord) or help with the emotional component of chronic pain. Studying all the core Upledger courses and qualifying in CST has really been the missing piece in my practice. I am committed to lifelong learning and am always updating my knowledge through reflection, attending further courses and study groups. When I’m not working, I love to cook healthy food and then work it off by playing tennis or wild swimming!

You are very welcome to come and see me in Southampton where I run my own practice from home. Some people come for the profound benefits CST offers to their well-being; others like to combine the gentle techniques of CST with an exercise program, manual therapy or Physiotherapy advice.

I first discovered CST in 2004 when I met a new instructor, Maggie Gill, on a Yoga Teacher Training course in Brighton. I was fascinated by this gentle, yet profoundly deep healing and found that it fitted well with the ‘Scaravelli’ approach to Yoga I was studying at the time.

Over the past 20 years I have taken many Upledger modules, deepening my knowledge and understanding of this powerful approach. This involves ‘walking the talk’ and doing my own work to ensure I’m able to maintain a safe space for my clients to work through their own healing process.

Among some of the courses I have studied are: Paediatrics; Conception, Pregnancy & Birthing; CST Beyond the Matrix; The Immune Response; Unwinding Meridians; The Brain Speaks; Somato-Emotional Release and the Inner Physician; and Advanced 1 and 2. I gained my CST-Techniques qualification in 2019, and am currently studying Transactional Analysis, adding ‘Trainee Counsellor’ to my toolbox.

I am passionate about this work and have a broad client base from newborns to the elderly. If you would like to know more, please feel free to contact me.

I have been practicing complementary therapy since 1998, qualifying as a Sports Massage Therapist, adding Aromatherapy, Reiki and Seated Acupressure to my tool bag in my quest to find effective treatments.

CST found me in 2004, when I received treatment for long-standing back pain. (I have fallen off a lot of horses….). For the first time since childhood I was completely pain free. I was hooked!!

I have trained to the Advanced 1 level, including the paediatric modules. This profound treatment, which respects and complements all others, dots the “i’s” and crosses the “t’s” for me. After many years of working in clinic situations, I now practice from home in Portreath. My client base ranges from newborns to the elderly, athletes to post- surgery patients, treating anything from colic to whiplash and a myriad of conditions in between.

I am fortunate to have an amazing network of colleagues in Cornwall and so, in a choice of venues across the county, we are able to offer “multi – hands” treatments. This option can be indicated where you feel that you have got “stuck” on your journey towards good health. The extra pairs of hands give additional support to the tissues and emotions of the patient on the couch.

I am passionate about the limitless possibilities we have within ourselves to resolve, release and also to discover and fulfil our potential. I have studied various therapies over the years to facilitate a client’s own integration of their body, mind and spirit.

With a background in massage and kinesiology that started in 1995, my enthusiasm and my holistic approach to my work, has led me to become a Craniosacral therapist with the Techniques certification.

CST has helped me in so many ways, such as completely clearing up a chronic digestive issue that I had experienced for 5 years. As well as helping with back pain and neck problems that I had accumulated in a past career as a metalwork designer/maker, CST is also a continuing journey of discovery. It has helped me to integrate life experiences and so open up to life. I have found that I am a lot more present in my body and this helps me to live life more fully.

I have facilitated craniosacral study groups for Upledger students to practice techniques, and I keep up to date with the latest developments by attending study days, workshops and by regularly assisting on Upledger training programs.

I have also volunteered at St. Joseph’s Hospice in Hackney, where myself and other CST therapists offered multi hands sessions to people who were at the end of life and receiving palliative care.

Being dedicated in my practice, I am now in the process of studying for a Diplomat in CST. As I really enjoy working in CST multi hands therapy sessions, and see the many benefits that client’s experience, I also work with Nikki Kenward at her clinic in Marlow fortnightly.

I am fully insured, and am a qualified member of the Craniosacral Society.

Hello, I’m Josey. I work with adults of all ages and with a wide range of conditions. I offer treatments from my home, which is in a suburb of Woking in Surrey.

In 2008, I made a decision to radically change direction in my work life, or risk damaging my health, due to prolonged stress in a highly pressurised job. So I retrained as a Massage Therapist and have never looked back. I quickly realised this was just the start of an ongoing journey working with the wonders and complexities of the human body and mind, and the ways to treat and help heal them.  I went on to complete a BTEC Level 6 in Advanced Clinical and Sports Massage with the Jing Institute of Massage in 2012. I then did further training with Myofascial Release UK, before starting my journey with CranioSacral Therapy & Upledger in 2014. I was curious about this gentle, yet powerful therapy, and my curiosity has only increased over the years as I continue to develop my skills as a therapist to ensure I am doing the very best I can for my clients. I absolutely love my work – it is a vocation for me. When I’m not working, my husband and I like to go hiking and cold water swimming. I also love running, climbing, and bees, and I especially enjoy spending time gardening, with the assistance of my feline friend.

If you’re interested in booking a session, please give me a call for a quick chat.

I agreed, not knowing what it was or what to expect. That was it! Profound, quite astonishing, and certainly like nothing I had ever experienced. From that moment on I was hooked and in total wonderment of this gentle, powerful therapy. What was it? How does it work? I needed to know more. Because I am quite busy with teaching and other aspects of UIUK I tend to offer irregular but pre-planned treatment sessions. So while I cannot often respond to urgent needs I am really happy to set up appointments in advance.

While I mainly use CST I also incorporate visceral manipulation, having done many of the VM courses and a good number with Jean Pierre Barral, the developer of that work, himself. Also, together with other colleagues, we can offer multiple-hands treatments, which we absolutely love to do.

I have 19 years’ experience of CranioSacral Therapy and 24 years of therapeutic massage (Swedish and Deep Tissue), which has exposed me to a vast array of conditions and ailments across all ages. My treatment approach places great emphasis on listening to clients and focusing on the whole body, rather than solely the symptoms presented.

My CranioSacral Therapy studies have reached advanced classes, including SomatoEmotional Release, and courses specialising in Immune Response, Paediatrics and Visceral Manipulation, as well as CranioSacral Therapy for Small Animals (dogs, cats, etc). I also lead a monthly Study Group.

From a young age I wanted to be a dancer –I trained at Arts Educational and then the Rambert School until age 20 when a significant back injury forced me to look at a different path. I moved to Cornwall in 2007 with my family where I discovered Craniosacral Therapy (CST). I found that this not only supported my general wellbeing but also really helped with the physical legacy from my dance injuries. I had treatment during and after my pregnancies and my three children have benefitted from treatment, from babies to teens.

Having experienced the changes that CST could bring about, I was inspired to do the Upledger CST training to support others with this gentle yet deeply healing work. After 7 years of training, I undertook the rigorous examination process and qualified with the Upledger Institute in 2022. I love the breadth of Craniosacral Therapy work, from the purely physical aches and pains to the sometimes deeply held emotional issues where even the slightest change can make such a profound difference in people’s daily lives.

I’m always keen to learn more and find it impossible to turn down the opportunity to take a new course! I work in North Cornwall at clinics in Launceston, Holsworthy and Wadebridge. If you are interested, please contact me for a free, no- obligation chat about how CST might help you.

I started my working life looking after children, and then, after having had my own, went down a new path and taught Pilates.

After using CranioSacral Therapy to treat long-term back issues (too much gymnastics too young), plus other niggles due to the stresses and strains of modern day life, I realised that I would like to be able to become a therapist myself.  In 2009, I started on that journey.  It was a long road, teaching me about myself as I learnt how to facilitate the healing in others.  I passed my exam in February  2015, a very proud moment for me.

I have subsequently undertaken training in using Imagery and Dialogue to promote healing, training to work with horses and expanded my field of knowledge in CST for Paediatrics, taking me full circle and back to my first love, children.

I currently work from home where I am lucky enough to be able to teach Pilates and run my CST clinic side by side

My name is Felicity; my background is in Mental Health; Music and Creative Arts in Therapy and Education. In CranioSacral Therapy I endeavour to empower the person, seeking creative ways to access their own creativity to nurture their inner resources, awaking the awareness of the ‘Inner Physician’.

Since I began my process of learning and practising CranioSacral Therapy I have studied courses up to Advanced Level 1 and am thrilled to say that I have achieved my CST Techniques Certification in 2018. The specialist courses that I have completed include ‘Therapeutic Imagery and Dialogue’; ‘CranioSacral Therapy and The Immune System’; and ‘Touching the Brain’ – this was the latest course. I am passionate about CranioSacral Therapy for many reasons, its simplicity; gentleness but with the possibility of it being such a powerful instrument of positive change. The highlight in my CranioSacral career, was taking part in the ‘Community Programmes CIC’ in November 2017.
I have worked as a Mental Health Professional for most of my working life, there is a huge overlap in the emotional work; for which I use, for example, ‘Therapeutic Imagery and Dialogue’ from my Upledger Training as well as skills from my other areas of experience and expertise to ‘tune-in’ to what is being communicated. In the way that music and sound has the potential for permeating any depth of communication and barriers that may be present, so can the ‘intention’ of the therapist reach the call of the tiniest cell or thought in the person receiving the treatment.

I live with Geoff, my husband and fellow musician; in a village in the East of Cornwall and have my CST practices locally as well as Plymouth and the surrounding areas. I practise CST from the Wellbeing Centre in Liskeard on a Saturday and the Waterloo Wellbeing Centre Plymouth on a Thursday morning; please do not hesitate to call for any other arrangement.

I have dedicated some of my time to raising money for and working with people with cancer at Cherry Lodge Cancer Care in Barnet and St Margaret’s Hospital in Epping.  In my experience in working with people with a variety of health problems, I have gained great insights into how holistic treatments give a sense of well being and how they can be helpful in coping with the stresses of everyday life as well as dealing with traumatic life events.

I have worked with babies through to adults, all with a variety of physical, mental and emotional discords within their bodies. I feel strongly about the importance of seeking out and treating the cause rather than the symptoms.

I originally trained as a physiotherapist at the Royal London Hospital. Some 25 years ago, I also began incorporating reflexology into my practice. I was astounded by the results I was getting with people who were suffering from chronic or acute pain. As doctor and therapy colleagues began referring patients, I developed my practice further by following a 2-year healing course with Swami Ambikananda Saraswati, (www.traditionalyoga.org ) incorporating energy work, herbs, crystals , acupressure and yoga. After qualifying as a yoga teacher and healer, I was introduced to CranioSacral Therapy. Since then, I have never failed to be amazed at the power of the individual to heal mentally, physically and spiritually, when a gentle healing space is provided. I continue to work in a very holistic manner, and have never stopped developing my physiotherapy skills , which I use alongside the more subtle techniques of energy medicine. I treat people of all ages, including babies, and welcome your enquiries.

I came to “Upledger” Craniosacral Therapy (CST) after a riding accident having just lost my mother from a car accident and sister from cancer, both within 6 weeks of each other. Not only has CST helped put my body back together after numerous previous riding accidents, CST also helped me process my intense grief. With such insightful, life enhancing, transformative CST treatments, I realised that I would like to help facilitate the restoration of other people’s own health and well-being.

I find that the profound CST’s gentle, energy-healing, hands-on, approach can deeply effect change in client’s symptoms, often accessing and releasing deep-seated, core issues of unexplained physical and emotional pain, and illness. CST also helps to rebalance and enhance the mind, body & spirit connection.

I work from home, in a small cotswold village in Oxfordshire.

I am originally a medical doctor with full registration in Germany and the UK. I very soon found it dissatisfying that common medicine mainly treats symptoms and conditions, without looking at the whole picture. I started to look at alternative ways – ways that takes the whole person in to account – body, sole and spirit.

I started out studying Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. Chinese Medicine has a completely different way of looking at the functions of the body, health and illness. This opened my eyes to a different way of healing. I heard about CranioSacral Therapy and I found it everything I was looking for – a way to treat people without manipulating and invading their bodies, without having to hand out pills with all their side-effects. A method to tap into our self-healing potentials and treat the whole person not just one part of it.

I started to train with the Upledger Institute and fell in love with this gentle but very powerful treatment method immediately. I have worked as a CranioSacral Therapist since 2002 and helped countless people from tiny babies to adults to overcome all kinds of physical and mental problems and to lead a more balanced and happy life. I still marvel at what a tremendous change CST can have on people’s life.

I am also trained as a Baby Massage instructor with the International Association of Infant massage and hold a diploma in Swedish Massage

I started my training in CranioSacral Therapy in 2014 and love the way it gently facilitates the body’s own healing mechanisms.  Personally it has helped mewith chronic health problems and dealing with emotional issues and areas where I had become “stuck”.

My background is in Children’s Nursing and Midwifery. I worked with sick and premature newborns for nearly 12 years and have worked with children and adults of all ages with complex medical needs and disabilities.  Having worked in healthcare since 1994, I often find that the medical model treats symptoms rather than getting to the root of a problem or looking at the whole person.  I have a keen interest in holistic therapies, nutrition and the link between the mind and body, and for me, CranioSacral Therapy is one of the few modalities that works effectively with both.

I currently live and work in and around South East Cornwall and Plymouth, please see my website for more information.

My first introduction to CranioSacral Therapy was witnessing first-hand the positive effect the treatment was having on my daughter who had sensory processing issues. I then personally experienced its profound benefits when a painful longstanding injury I was suffering from improved dramatically after only a couple of sessions. I was immediately hooked by this gentle yet powerful treatment.

I began my training in 2011, qualifying in 2018. I have undertaken further courses in paediatrics, pregnancy, conception and birth, chronic depletion, gut health, therapeutic imagery and dialogue and sensory integration. I feel as though the gentle Craniosacral Therapy approach has brought together and deepened my skills and experience and I am constantly amazed yet never surprised at the body’s ability to self-correct and rejuvenate.

I treat people of all ages and with a variety of disorders, ranging from back problems, migraine,  illnesses and injuries to emotional issues such as anxiety and depression. I also treat babies and have a particular interest in children with behavioural, concentration and sensory integration issues.

Hello, I am John Jennings. I am about to start my seventeenth year in CranioSacral Therapy. In that time I have treated all ages from a few days old to well into their nineties, in excess of 20,000 clinical hours in all.

Most of the adults I see come with pain issues, back, neck and shoulder being the most common, and sciatica and joint pain, migraines and headaches following close behind. Other issues such as vertigo, IBS, fuzzy thinking, tiredness and general fatigue also present quite regularly.

Babies and their mums are also frequent visitors to my clinic. Colic, reflux, torticollis and sleep issues are probably the most frequent complaints.  The mums too, have their own problems such as back and pelvic pain and post partum issues such as pubis symphysis disorder, which can leave some in a wheel chair, but is generally quickly resolved with CranioSacral therapy.

In that time I have seen many cases of emotional issues which can often result in very real physical pain and can act as a impediment to physical healing,  quite apart from the burden they place on the quality of life and persuit of happiness.  I employ SomatoEmotional release which is an integrated part of CranioSacral therapy developed by Dr John Upledger. It is designed to rid the mind and body of old or persistent emotional issues. The issues revealed, and the pace of the sessions are entirely under the control of the client at all times.

  • Craniosacral therapy

  • Yoga

  • Sound therapy

  • Massage for relief of pain

  • Studies in literature and language

to respond to what your body / mind needs in any individual therapy session. I am inspired by the words of the farmer-poet Wendell Berry: “… to be quiet in heart, and in eye, clear. What we need is here.”

My therapies are touch or talking therapies, and the practice of yoga. The techniques used can be subtle as in craniosacral therapy, sound therapy or yoga; or they can be directed techniques as in coaching, massage or yoga.

I have a passion for practising craniosacral therapy with people with specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD and autism, and helping you to explore the felt experience of these parts of yourself in the body/mind. And I welcome to my practice any person, old or young or in-between, wishing to explore the benefits of craniosacral therapy for the body, mind and spirit.

Through my training and experience, life experience and embodied wisdom, I intend that we connect, resonate and establish a relationship that will allow your inner knowing and embodied wisdom to help you find in yourself what you need for health and wholeness. One of Marie’s specialisms is treating adults, others include working with family groups, treating the family as a whole in order to improve family dynamics and assisting them in managing the short-term and long-term effects of a sudden change in a family member’s well being.  This can be a challenging birth with the stresses that the newborn and the whole family have to face, or ongoing physical, emotional or mental health issues.
